Veneers

The most common restoration used to restore and correct an esthetic dental problem is veneers. With major technological advancements in the world of dental ceramics, veneers are a highly esthetic solution to correct teeth abnormalities like tooth discoloration (brown, grey, yellow), very small teeth (peg-shaped teeth), a deviated or canted tooth midline in relation to the midline of the face, spaces between front teeth, and other esthetic issues. A great advantage of veneer treatment is that it requires a minimal amount of tooth structure to be removed before applying the veneer. A thin layer of the tooth enamel is removed and replaced with a very thin but very strong ceramic veneer. If you would like to achieve a brighter, whiter smile in a short amount of time, we offer in-office Zoom Whitening. In-office Zoom Whitening utilizes light-activated 25% hydrogen peroxide gel along with a full-arch bleaching lamp for both upper and lower teeth. It is the bleaching lamp that makes the procedure fast and very effective, achieving up to 4-6 shades brighter than your existing tooth shade in a single appointment. The gel is applied in increments of 15 minutes and additional hydrogen peroxide can be added each time depending on how bright you want your smile to be. Our skilled team members will be monitoring you during the whitening treatment and the process is efficient and safe.

Depending on your dietary lifestyle, the effects of Zoom Whitening can last for 12-24 months. The wide range of variation depends on how consistent you are with your home oral care routine and if you drink coffee or tea or eat foods that might stain the teeth. It is required that you avoid these types of drinks and foods for 48 hours after the in-office treatment. In certain cases, a take-home whitening kit will be needed after 6-8 months to enhance your brightened smile. You might experience some tooth sensitivity for 24-48 hours after the Zoom Whitening treatment. It is advised that you use sensitive toothpaste for the first 3-4 days after the procedure and that you brush your teeth with a soft-bristled brush and lukewarm water.
